Sup. I’ve been pet sitting professionally for over 7 years, and honestly? I can’t imagine doing anything else. I’ve worked with everything from senior Great Danes to diabetic cats to six ferrets in a two-bedroom apartment. ABOUT MYSELF: Some quick facts about me: I’m certified in pet first aid, I’ve volunteered at animal shelters in three different states, and I’ve never once missed a walk, a meal, or a medication window. I treat every pet like I’ve known them for years with patience, respect, and a healthy dose of belly rubs (when invited). I’m calm, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to making animals feel safe and happy while their people are away.

One of my most memorable pet sitting experiences was last winter in Colorado. I was hired to care for three large dogs: a German Shepherd, a Malamute, and a pit bull mix - all of whom were rescues with various behavioral issues. On top of that, the owners had a senior cat with kidney disease who required daily subcutaneous fluids, and a gecko named Tofu who needed a very specific humidity range in his tank. The night before the owners left, a snowstorm hit. Flights were canceled, roads were closing, and the heating system in the house began to glitch. It turned into a full-on survival mission and I stayed. I manually adjusted the thermostat every few hours, shoveled a path for the dogs multiple times a day, coordinated vet support remotely for the cat, and rigged a backup system for the gecko’s tank using warm rice socks (yes, that actually works). When the owners returned four days late, every single animal was healthy, calm, and well cared for. They cried. I cried. Even the Malamute kind of cried.

To be honest this isn’t a side gig for me. It’s a lifestyle built on trust, care, and connection. Pets aren’t just animals I look after - they’re individuals I learn from. And every sit is a new story I’m grateful to be part of.
