It was our first time using this platform, and staying at Jessica’s home for our holiday was an amazing decision. Jess was incredibly helpful, providing all the information we needed before she left for the USA. She clearly communicated everything about her pets’ needs. We shared many wonderful moments with her pets and hope to come back next year!

Last month I had to rush to Brooklyn to see my mom and had no one to leave my dog Charlie with. He gets so stressed if he’s not at home, so shelters weren’t an option at all. I found Marieke and Giovanni on flatrover, and they agreed to spend their holiday at my place in Sicily. They took amazing care of Charlie, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing while I was gone. Thank you so much, you guys are the best!!

I stayed in Sofia and Carlos’s house for almost 8.5 weeks with the chilled cat Minky. The house was in a good location with spectacular views and just a 6-minute walk to Playa del Sol beach. Minky was easy to care for as he just wanted a lot of food and some occasional petting 😊. Overall, I highly recommend this house sit. Thanks again, Sofia and Carlos!

I work as a Formula auto mechanic worldwide with a 4 months on, 4 months off schedule. I had been searching for a long time for someone to take care of my cat and fish while I am away. Thanks to FlatRover for a community I can trust with my home. I’ve made new friends here, and now I want to become a Flatrover myself, haha, that’s so cool...

Dog Sitter Dublin

What is the cost of hiring a dog sitter in Dublin?

The average price for dog sitting in Dublin is €34 per night. Please note that these rates can vary based on factors such as the sitter's experience, the specific services required, and the duration of care. With FlatRover, there are no per-night charges – instead, pet owners and sitters form connections on a mutual passion for animals and travel.

How does booking a FlatRover sitter compare to traditional dog boarding?

With FlatRover, your dog stays at home in familiar surroundings, sticking to their routine and receiving individual care. Unlike traditional boarding, there are no kennels, no abrupt changes to their environment, and no nightly fees. Instead of an unfamiliar facility, your dog is cared for by someone who treats them as their own. FlatRover connects pet owners in Temple Bar, Rathmines, Ballsbridge, Clontarf, and other Dublin neighborhoods with experienced and caring dog sitters.

Does the dog experience stress due to the change of environment and the absence of the owner?

Some dogs may experience stress due to a new environment and being away from their owner. However, staying with a sitter in a home setting can be less stressful than a kennel, as it provides a familiar routine, personal attention, and comfort.

Are long-term dog sitters available in Dublin?

Yes! Whether you’re going on an extended holiday, a work trip, or need regular pet care, you can find long-term dog sitters in Dublin through FlatRover. Posting your dates and browsing profiles makes it easy to find the right sitter for your pet.

How do I start finding a sitter in Dublin?

Simply create your listing — include details about your pet, your home, and the dates you’ll be away. Sitters in Dublin will then contact you, allowing you to review profiles, check reviews, and choose the perfect match. Whether you’re in Portobello, Drumcondra, or Sandyford, you can easily find a trusted sitter.
